Pothole Repairs on Ukrainian Roads
Ukraine has completed the initial phase of post-winter pothole repairs on its national and international highways. The scale of work carried out is the largest since the start of the full-scale war, with road crews resurfacing 14 million square meters of pavement. This achievement underscores the government's commitment to maintaining road infrastructure amid challenging wartime conditions.
Government’s Next Steps
Moving forward, the government plans to focus its resources on routes that hold strategic importance for frontline areas. Special priority will be given to roads critical for military logistics and evacuation operations.

Additionally, in Kyiv, traffic will be partially restricted on Naberezhne Highway on June 3 and 4. Repairs are scheduled from 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM on the section between Metro Bridge and the transport interchange near the Yevhen Paton Bridge. During this time, traffic will be limited to one lane, which may cause temporary delays for drivers.
The completion of pothole repairs marks a significant step in supporting road infrastructure, especially relevant during wartime. The government’s strategy, centered on restoring highways in frontline areas, highlights the priority of ensuring military logistics and evacuation capabilities. This could greatly enhance the speed and efficiency of moving military and humanitarian supplies in critical situations.
