Україна отримає безповоротну фінансову допомогу від Міжнародного банку, яка сприятиме розвитку ключових секторів економіки.

Obtaining a grant from the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development

The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has approved the allocation of a grant of $2.35 billion from the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development (IBRD) for budgetary support. This decision was recorded in the Cabinet of Ministers' resolution dated January 12, 2026, No. 13-r.

The expenditures from this grant are planned to reduce the volume of external borrowings by $2 billion. Another part of the grant will be used as additional funding to the budget system under the revenue classification code 'Grants for budget support'. Thus, the obtained funds aim to strengthen the financial stability of the state.

Development Policy 'Growth Foundations'

This grant is part of the second program to support the development policy 'Growth Foundations'. The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine considers it advisable to obtain this additional grant to ensure economic stability and support the country's budget in the face of current challenges.

Receiving the grant from the IBRD is an important step for Ukraine amid economic instability caused by internal and external factors. Reducing external borrowings and strengthening the budget system can contribute to improving the country's financial situation and ensuring its resilience in the future. This also underscores Ukraine's commitment to cooperating with international financial institutions to support its economy.
