Ukraine Granted Licenses to Produce Patriot Missiles
Following a decisive move by former U.S. President Donald Trump, Ukraine has been authorized to manufacture missiles compatible with the Patriot air defense systems. This announcement came during Trump’s latest meeting with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky. “Failure to act by October-November will result in severe difficulties in January and February.”The remaining funds are allocated toward meeting the armed forces’ operational needs and partially covering personnel expenses.
High-level discussions with U.S. and European intelligence leaders are ongoing to secure financial backing, with positive responses from the European Commission and the International Monetary Fund regarding Ukraine’s funding requirements. Upcoming meetings involving Ukraine’s Prime Minister, Finance Minister, and Head of Foreign Intelligence are planned either in Kyiv or Brussels to further coordinate support efforts.
President Zelensky also highlighted a unified understanding among U.S., European, and Ukrainian intelligence agencies about Russia’s continuing hybrid warfare tactics. He noted:
“Russia will persist with hybrid attacks targeting various countries, not limited to NATO members. We observe drone and hybrid assaults against Moldova, which is outside NATO and the EU, as well as Germany, Romania, and others.”
In response, Ukraine has offered to assist international partners in countering Russian drone threats, fostering potential cooperation with both NATO members and non-aligned nations. Bilateral agreements concerning drone defense include:
