Funding for the support of internally displaced persons
Ukraine has received the second tranche of 100 million euros from the Council of Europe Development Bank for the support of internally displaced persons. These funds have been transferred to the general fund of the state budget, which will allow more effective resolution of social issues related to meeting the needs of IDPs.
In 2025, Ukraine attracted all 200 million euros provided for the project, indicating successful cooperation with international partners. Over the two years of cooperation with the CEB, Ukraine has managed to attract almost 430 million euros, which makes up about 80% of the total volume of credit resources within this partnership. The loan portfolio of Council of Europe Development Bank projects in Ukraine includes five projects with a total amount of 550 million euros.
Olga Zyikova noted that obtaining these funds is evidence of the joint capacity to quickly and effectively respond to the most acute social challenges.
The receipt of funding from the Council of Europe Development Bank emphasizes the importance of international cooperation in overcoming social challenges faced by Ukraine, especially in times of war and crisis. Support for internally displaced persons is critically important for ensuring stability in the country and improving the living conditions of people who have faced hardships due to the conflict.
