Supreme Commander-in-Chief Staff Meeting
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy convened a meeting of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief's Staff. The discussions focused on the regional and global market impacts of the war in Iran, as well as requests from other nations for security assistance from Ukraine. In attendance were the Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council (NSDC), heads of intelligence agencies and the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU), and representatives from several ministries.
During the meeting, it was noted that Ukraine has currently received 11 requests for security support from Iran's neighboring countries, European states, and the United States. President Zelenskyy highlighted a clear international interest in Ukraine's expertise regarding life protection, threat interception, electronic warfare systems, and training.
"As of now, there are 11 requests from countries neighboring Iran, European states, and America. There is a clear interest in Ukrainian experience in protecting lives, relevant interceptors, EW systems, and training," the President stated.
Ukraine's Action Plan
Furthermore, Ukraine plans to provide assistance in countering drones, including training Gulf countries in methods of defense against unmanned aerial vehicles. The first group of Ukrainian experts and military personnel will depart for the Gulf countries on Monday, March 9. This move comes as Ukraine, while defending its own territory, has developed significant tactical knowledge in modern warfare. President Zelenskyy also emphasized that Ukraine's NSDC, together with the General Staff and Defense Forces, will determine which additional requests to the state can be met positively without diminishing its own defensive capabilities.
"Ukraine's priority is clear: the Iranian regime must not gain any advantage over the defenders of life, and we must all work together for tangible stabilization both in the region and in global markets," he added.
Thus, Ukraine is actively responding to new security challenges and is prepared to assist countries requiring support in countering threats related to the war in Iran. Ukraine's efforts in this direction underscore its evolving role as a significant player in international security architecture, which can contribute to strengthening regional stability and enhancing security cooperation with other states.
