The Government of Ukraine has received financial assistance from Japan and the World Bank amounting to 290 million US dollars. Of this amount, 80 million dollars were raised through a guarantee from the Government of Japan from the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development (IBRD).
The RISE project, planned to be implemented in Ukraine starting in 2024, has received support from the World Bank amounting to 681 million US dollars. In total, the support for the implementation period of the project, which will last from 2024 to 2027, amounts to over 1 billion US dollars, of which 540 million have already been raised.
“The World Bank is a reliable partner of Ukraine and helps to navigate through the toughest challenges, maintaining financial stability and pursuing reforms. In particular, the RISE project is aimed at creating a more efficient and predictable environment for business development in Ukraine. It shapes conditions for the sustainable recovery of the private sector, which is key for the long-term economic growth of the country,” said Deputy Minister of Finance Olha Zykova.
