Ukraine received nearly $6 billion from IT exports in 2025: dynamics and new registrations

Україна здобула суттєві доходи від ІТ-експорту у 2025 році: нові тенденції та реєстрації у сфері технологій.

IT Services Export in Ukraine in 2025

In 2025, Ukraine received $5.97 billion in revenue from the export of IT services, which is 2.4% more than in 2024. However, this figure is 3% lower than the level in 2021 and 10% lower than the peak indicators of 2022. The average monthly export of IT services in 2025 amounted to $543 million, while in 2022 this figure was $612 million. IT services account for 42% of total service exports and 12% of total exports of the country.

Total Service Export and Business Activity

At the same time, the total export of services decreased by 9% to $14.33 billion, while the total export of goods and services fell by 5% to $49.21 billion. In 2025, 18,605 new individual entrepreneurs in the field of computer programming were registered, while the number of closed businesses increased to 26,158 IT entrepreneurs. These data indicate certain changes in the dynamics of Ukraine's IT sector, which continues to play an important role in the country's economy.

The decline in the volume of IT service exports compared to previous years may indicate the challenges faced by the sector, particularly in the context of war and economic instability. Nevertheless, the growth in the number of new entrepreneurs in the IT sector may be a sign of businesses adapting to new conditions and seeking new opportunities for development.

The IT sector remains a key element of the Ukrainian economy, requiring attention and support from the state for further growth and stability.
