Ukraine has received the fourth tranche of macro-financial assistance from the European Union amounting to 4 billion euros. This was announced by Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko, noting that the funds came as part of the 'ERA Loans' program. It is important to emphasize that such a large sum was transferred to Ukraine precisely on the Day of Defenders of the Country.

This tranche is financed from the profits obtained from the frozen assets of the Central Bank of Russia located in the EU. As the head of the government pointed out, this is not only financial support but also a strong signal about the importance of supporting Ukraine from Europe in the context of escalating conflict.

The Prime Minister particularly noted the leadership of the President of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen and Commissioner for Economic Affairs Valdis Dombrovskis. She stressed that these funds would help save lives, recover from the devastating consequences of the war, and reaffirm Europe’s undeniable support for Ukraine's choice.

Reparations from Russia amounting to almost 200 billion euros

It was previously announced that Ukraine would receive 'reparations' from Russia amounting to nearly 200 billion euros.

Currently, Ukraine has received a new batch of financial assistance from the EU, demonstrating the growing support of the European Union for the Ukrainian authorities in the context of the conflict with Russia. These funds will serve not only as an additional incentive for the country's development but also reaffirm the importance of maintaining peace and stability in the region.
