Ukraine received 100 million euros for IDPs: what the funds will be spent on

Україна отримала 100 мільйонів євро для підтримки внутрішньо переміщених осіб: на що підуть ці кошти?

Ukraine has received the second tranche of 100 million euros from the Council of Europe Development Bank for the implementation of a project to support internally displaced persons. In total, by 2025, our country is expected to receive 200 million euros under this project.

These funds will be used to provide essential social services for internally displaced persons, including housing, food, medical assistance, and children's education. This is particularly important for those who have been forced to leave their homes due to the war.

“This project is not just about money. Behind these figures are real people and families. Thousands of people who need support. This demonstrates our collective ability to respond effectively to social challenges,” emphasized Deputy Minister of Finance Olga Zyikova.

To date, the Ukrainian loan portfolio of the Council of Europe Development Bank includes five projects with a total cost of 550 million euros.

Receiving the second tranche from the Council of Europe Development Bank gives Ukraine the opportunity to help internally displaced persons secure housing, food, and medical assistance. This is an important step in supporting those affected by the war and conflicts in the country.
