Ukraine is changing its approach to countering Russia, focusing on the supply of modern weapons and strengthening sanctions against the Kremlin. This decision was announced by General Nikolai Malomuzh during a broadcast on the Freeдом channel.
According to Malomuzh, the first variant of the strategy, which was based on agreements between the United States and the RF, turned out to be ineffective due to Putin's unwillingness to share in negotiations. 'Only pressure and the fulfillment of conditions for occupation can make the Kremlin concede,' he emphasized.
New weapons and sanctions
The new strategy, or 'Plan B', involves intensive supplies of the latest types of weapons to Ukraine, significantly strengthening its defense capabilities, as well as expanding cooperation with NATO and the European Union in the field of joint arms production.
Particularly, the general emphasized that the US has given the Kremlin a 50-day deadline to begin negotiations. If this condition is not met, the United States will impose harsh additional sanctions that will lead to Russia's exclusion from the world market, forcing even China and India to exert influence on the Kremlin.
Proposals and threats
Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council Rustem Umerov has proposed new negotiations with Russia, while Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov stated readiness for a peaceful resolution of the conflict. The Trump administration also expressed threats of imposing secondary sanctions and tariffs in the absence of progress in achieving a ceasefire in Ukraine.
Experts believe that the planned measures could put Russia in a difficult position and contribute to the resolution of the conflict on peaceful principles.
The news announces strategic changes in Ukraine's approach to countering Russia, focusing on strengthening defense capabilities and international sanctions, which could accelerate the peaceful resolution of the conflict and undermine the Kremlin's position on the world stage.
