A conference on mental health was held in Paris, where representatives of governments, experts from around the world, and specialists from 34 countries gathered. The goal of the event was to include mental health issues in all areas of life - from education and work to social policy. The Ukrainian delegation supported the Paris Declaration on the importance of supporting mental health in various areas of life. This means that care for mental health should be considered at all levels of governance - not only in medical institutions but also in schools, workplaces, social services, and community initiatives.

'For Ukraine, which is seeking ways to restore the healthcare system during the war, it is important to integrate mental health issues into all areas. We aspire to build a resilient society where mental well-being becomes a shared responsibility of all - the state, citizens, employers, and educational institutions. Basic psychosocial support is already provided in more than 5,000 centers and outpatient primary healthcare facilities. Mental health centers operate in 124 hospitals,'
- explained the head of the Ukrainian delegation and Deputy Minister of Health of Ukraine Igor Kuzin.

Mental Health Conditions in Ukraine

Sociological research has revealed that Ukrainians feel a decrease in their satisfaction with their mental state. The main source of psychological tension is the war and all the related problems. The Government of Ukraine is taking measures to improve the mental health of citizens by expanding the range of services in this area and providing necessary assistance to patients.

The conference held in Paris on mental health confirmed the importance of implementing a mental health support approach at all levels of society. In light of sociological research, Ukrainians feel less satisfied with their mental state, which requires governmental attention and support to improve the situation.
