Ukraine is conducting the most extensive construction work to create defensive structures since the start of the Russian invasion. The defense line is being built to stop the summer offensive of the Russian Federation. This was reported by

citing The Wall Street Journal.

'An army that digs deeper is an army that survives,' explained military engineer Oleg, who is responsible for nearly 300 km of defense lines as part of a large-scale project. Oleg's section consists of kilometers of concrete 'pyramids' stretching from Kharkiv to Zaporizhia region.

Strengthening defense and countering the occupiers' offensive

It is noted that over the past year and a half, the occupiers have breached several weak points in the Ukrainian defense and have taken advantage of unfinished lines in the north, launching a new offensive with forces of around 50,000 people.

The first line of defense is being built by infantry, the second by engineering units. The civilian administrations are responsible for the third line - it is intended to surround key cities and strengthen regional borders. Each line is designed to stop the Russian troops before they break through.

Ukraine is actively building defensive structures aimed at stopping a possible invasion of Russian troops. Recent events indicate the need to reinforce defenses and the readiness of the Ukrainian military for possible conflicts in the east of the country.
