Reactivation of the 'Cash for Job' Initiative

In July 2026, the 'Cash for Job' program—part of the REMARKET project run by Caritas Ukraine—resumed operations in five regions across the country. Employers who formally hire new workers can now receive up to 43,000 Ukrainian hryvnias per employee. These payments are distributed over three months, with a monthly cap of 14,340 hryvnias including taxes.

Priority Sectors Under the Program

The revived initiative is active in the Odesa, Dnipropetrovsk, Khmelnytskyi, Ivano-Frankivsk, and Lviv oblasts. Funding is directed toward specific industries, including:

  • garment manufacturing
  • baking
  • beekeeping
  • related and ancillary sectors

Grants are disbursed after a worker is officially hired, provided all program conditions are met.

“Looking for a job? Or do you have an opening and are ready to officially employ a new team member? The ‘Cash for Job’ (C4J) component of the REMARKET project is making a comeback—organizers.”

This effort aims to support vulnerable populations by helping them secure employment and improve their quality of life.

The return of the 'Cash for Job' program marks a significant step in bolstering Ukraine’s economy, particularly amid post-war recovery. It is expected to positively impact the labor market by reducing unemployment and strengthening social safety nets. Moreover, by encouraging businesses to hire formally, the initiative promotes the regularization of labor relations and enhances economic stability in the participating regions.
