Ukraine matched a historic record at the World Track Cycling Championships: details of the success

The World Track Cycling Championships took place in Santiago, Chile, where Ukrainian athletes demonstrated good results. The first successful day for Ukraine was the second day of the competition. The men competed in keirin, while the women participated in the individual sprint.



Bohdan Danyliuk, who became the first Ukrainian since 2018 to compete in men's sprint disciplines, showed a high level of readiness and competition on the track


Alla Biletska also displayed excellent results in the women's sprint, defeating a competitor from the world rankings. Both athletes demonstrated a worthy performance at the World Championships but were unable to progress further.



The best athlete was Dutchman Harry Lavreysen, who won four out of four gold medals in his disciplines. Among women, Hetty van de Wouw stood out. The Netherlands topped the overall medal tally of the championship.



The World Track Cycling Championships in Chile ended successfully for Ukraine, which showed a worthy performance in various disciplines, while the Dutch athletes became leaders in the number of awards.
