By 2025, over 1,300 new Ukrainian defense systems and military equipment models are expected to enter service. A standout feature of this transformation is Ukraine’s accelerated technology rollout, occurring every 3 to 6 months. As emphasized by Sergey Boyev,
"Today, new technologies are implemented every 3 to 6 months. Ukraine has mastered updating its systems faster than traditional defense sectors."
The Ukrainian defense industry's production capacity is estimated at approximately $55 billion USD. To optimize procurement, the Ministry has introduced reforms allowing brigades to manage their own purchasing budgets and directly evaluate manufacturers' developments. Sergey Boyev noted,
"Under the new procurement rules, 80% of the budget goes to those who consistently deliver results. If you fail to improve your product, you lose immediately."
Anti-corruption remains a central pillar of the procurement overhaul. All acquisitions align with the Ukraine-NATO Strategic Defense Procurement Review and recommendations from the Ukraine-NATO Defense and Security Committee. Mstyslav Banik stressed,
"The state must respond quickly and efficiently to challenges, ensuring the military receives exactly what it needs."
