Ukraine held talks with representatives of US President Donald Trump. Volodymyr Zelensky reported the details of these negotiations, emphasizing the importance of peace for Ukraine. It was noted that the planned meetings will take place in London and Brussels.

Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council Rustem Umerov and Chief of the General Staff Andriy Koval are returning to Europe after completing the negotiations. Volodymyr Zelensky made a statement on December 8, noting that this is the 1383rd day of full-scale war. In his statement, he noted:

“Yesterday we spoke with Steven Witkoff and Jared Kushner” — Volodymyr Zelensky.

The President also stressed that “Ukraine deserves a decent peace, and whether there will be peace depends on Russia.” In addition, he added that “on Friday at the Staff, a decision was approved on a new order for the distribution of personnel for combat brigades.” These actions indicate Ukraine's activity on the international stage and its desire to establish peace.
