Top Diplomat Andrii Sybiha Meets Japanese Upper House Leader Masakazu Sekiguchi

Ukraine’s Foreign Minister, Andrii Sybiha, held talks with Masakazu Sekiguchi, the President of Japan’s House of Councillors. Their discussions centered on strengthening parliamentary ties between the two nations and advancing cooperation in the defense sector.

Sybiha underscored the critical role of sanctions against Russia and addressed the upcoming parliamentary summit of the International Crimea Platform, scheduled to take place in London.

“We explored ways to bolster parliamentary connections, defense collaboration, sanctions against Russia, and the forthcoming parliamentary summit of the International Crimea Platform in London,”
the minister stated. He also expressed gratitude to Japan for its solidarity with Ukraine.
