Reports circulating on social media about a ban on celebrating Rosh Hashanah 2025 in Uman are not true. This has been confirmed by official representatives from both Ukraine and Israel.

Previously, there were posts on social media claiming that 'Ukraine will not allow the celebration of Rosh Hashanah this year in Uman for security reasons.' Among the reasons for the alleged ban were the war and Ukraine's disappointment over the lack of support from Israel.

'As of today, there are no changes in Ukraine's policy regarding the arrival of worshippers for Rosh Hashanah,' - quotes the spokesperson of the Israeli Foreign Ministry, a reporter from Axios.

The head of the Breslov Union in Uman, Rabbi Natan Ben-Nun, also denied the information about the ban on pilgrimage.

'This week we met with all relevant officials in Kyiv, finalized the security measures, and received all necessary permits for conducting the kibbutz. Preparations are ongoing as usual. We urge the public not to panic and to continue preparations,' - said the rabbi.

The tradition of celebrating Rosh Hashanah in Uman

Hasidic pilgrims from various countries come to Uman every year to celebrate the Jewish New Year - Rosh Hashanah. This place has become a mandatory stop for meetings with the spiritual leader of this movement - Rabbi Nachman of Breslov.

The account of a ban on celebrating Rosh Hashanah in Uman in 2025 is fake. Official representatives from Ukraine and Israel assured that no bans have been implemented, and the pilgrimage of worshippers will take place as usual. Preparations for the celebration of Rosh Hashanah, an important tradition for Hasidic pilgrims from different countries, are ongoing.
