The Ministry of Defense reported that Ukraine and Lithuania plan to jointly produce defense products. The Minister of Defense of Ukraine, Denys Shmyhal, and the Minister of National Defense of Lithuania, Arvydas Anušauskas, signed a Letter of Intent regarding cooperation.

'Together, we are focusing on launching joint productions, particularly in the creation of long-range drones. We discussed specific prospects for industrial cooperation that are opened up by the Letter of Intent. The document creates new opportunities for launching joint ventures, building Ukrainian companies in Lithuania, and exchanging technologies,' said Denys Shmyhal.

The Ukrainian Minister of Defense also emphasized that Lithuania will continue to allocate 0.25% of its GDP for military assistance to Ukraine until 2027. This is an important signal of long-term support for the Ukrainian military.

During the meeting, issues of financing the procurement of weapons and the development of Ukrainian industry were also discussed. Denys Shmyhal expressed gratitude to his Lithuanian counterpart for the visit and productive cooperation.

The signed Letter of Intent between Ukraine and Lithuania increases opportunities for joint production of defense equipment and also confirms long-term support in the field of defense and security between the two countries. Such cooperation can contribute to strengthening Ukraine's defense capabilities and developing its military-industrial complex.
