On December 1, an agreement was signed in Brussels between Ukraine and the Netherlands on joint drone production. The document provides for the launch of drone production both in Ukraine and in the Netherlands. The Minister of Defense of the Netherlands, Ruben Brinkman, and the Prime Minister of Ukraine, Denis Shmyhal, signed the agreement during a meeting of the EU Council in Brussels.

“Ukraine and the Netherlands have agreed on joint drone production. This is a step towards strengthening joint security and innovation,” said Brinkman.

Agreement with Norway and assistance from Norway

On November 30, the Minister of Defense of Ukraine, Denis Shmyhal, announced the conclusion of an important defense agreement with Norway. According to the agreement, Ukraine and Norway will also jointly produce Ukrainian drones. In addition, Norway allocated over $45 million in humanitarian aid to support Ukraine, which will complement other allocated funds for the country’s food security.

These new agreements and assistance from Norway emphasize the importance of international cooperation to strengthen defense and humanitarian support for Ukraine in the context of the escalating situation in the east of the country.
