Focus of the Meeting

The ministers addressed topics related to peace efforts, steps to strengthen Ukraine's defense capabilities and resilience, and the schedule for future bilateral contacts. They also explored ways to expand the Ukrainian-German partnership and collaboration.

Andrii Sybiha stated: 'I thank Germany for its outstanding leadership in supporting Ukraine and strengthening European security.'

He also expressed gratitude for Germany's 'steadfast solidarity' during this challenging period.

This meeting between the Ukrainian and German foreign ministers occurs against the backdrop of the ongoing conflict with Russia, which necessitates sustained backing from Western partners.
