Ukraine and UAE Deepen Humanitarian Aid and Food Security Alliance
Ukraine and the United Arab Emirates have agreed to expand their collaboration on humanitarian aid and food security. The announcement came after talks held in Dubai as part of DIHAD, a major humanitarian aid and development gathering.
Ukraine’s Deputy Minister of Economy and Environment, Denys Bashlyk, took part in the discussions, while the UAE was represented by Minister of State Dr. Maitha bint Salem Al Shamsi. The delegations examined ways to improve coordination of humanitarian assistance and international partner resources, with particular focus on establishing permanent response tools for emergencies. They also discussed advancing the Food from Ukraine initiative, which covers more than just emergency food shipments — it includes transferring Ukrainian agricultural expertise and technologies and creating long-term international partnerships.
Today it is essential not only to respond to humanitarian crises, but also to create solutions that reduce the vulnerability of countries in the future. Ukraine stands ready to share its own experience, farming technologies, and knowledge. Together with the UAE, we can link humanitarian support to the development of local production and food resilience.
