Ukraine as a World Leader in Fixed Internet

Ukraine has become the world leader in the quality of fixed internet for the second time, achieving significant success in the field of electronic communications even during the war. This success has been made possible by a number of innovations and changes in the industry that have ensured stability and accessibility of communication for the population.

Achievements in Electronic Communications

Among Ukraine's key achievements in this area is the launch of Starlink Direct to Cell satellite communication, which became the first case in Europe. Moreover, 100% of base stations in the country are now equipped with batteries, allowing them to operate autonomously for at least 4–6 hours. This significantly enhances the reliability of communication, especially under war conditions.

The country's government has also streamlined bureaucracy for the rapid construction of mobile communication towers, which has contributed to the development of infrastructure. The next step will be the pilot launch of 5G, which promises to further improve the quality of communication in Ukraine. These efforts collectively demonstrate the resilience of the country in difficult conditions and its commitment to technological progress.

Ukraine's emergence as a world leader in fixed internet highlights the importance of communication infrastructure in crisis situations.

During the war, reliable access to the internet becomes crucial not only for communication but also for supporting businesses and ensuring access to information. The innovations introduced in Ukraine can serve as an example for other countries striving to improve their telecommunications services in challenging conditions.
