'We exchanged views on the next joint steps for the Ukrainian Government and the Verkhovna Rada to fulfill our commitments under the European integration process. Our goal is to open the remaining clusters by mid-July, during the Irish Presidency of the EU Council.' Yulia Svyrydenko
Condemnation of Aggression
Additionally, during the meeting, both parties condemned the latest missile strike by the Russian aggressor, underscoring the need for continued international support during this challenging period. This condemnation highlights the ongoing security threats Ukraine faces as it pursues deeper integration with Europe.
The dialogue between Ukraine’s leadership and the European Commission reaffirms Kyiv’s dedication to the EU accession process, marking a significant step in strengthening ties with the bloc. Successfully opening these clusters could reinforce political and economic bonds between Ukraine and the European Union. At the same time, the joint condemnation of Russian aggression emphasizes the critical role of global solidarity with Ukraine amid the conflict, a factor that may shape future negotiations and international decisions.
