The Deputy Minister of Energy of Ukraine Roman Andarak held an online meeting with representatives of foreign diplomatic missions of Ukraine. He spoke about the needs of the Ukrainian energy sector in preparation for the autumn-winter period, as reported by the Ministry of Energy.

Need for support and protection of energy infrastructure

Andarak noted the scale of the destruction of energy infrastructure since the beginning of the invasion and emphasized the intensification of shelling of energy facilities, which creates serious challenges for energy security. He stated: 'Unfortunately, the rhetoric we hear from the Russian Federation does not indicate a cessation of attacks on energy infrastructure. Therefore, it is necessary to strengthen diplomatic efforts and allocate funds for the protection and restoration of energy facilities.'

According to Andarak, the main task is to protect and reinforce energy infrastructure facilities, repair damaged equipment, form strategic reserves, and develop distributed generation to enhance the resilience of the energy system.

During the online meeting with representatives of foreign diplomatic missions of Ukraine, the Deputy Minister of Energy emphasized the need to intensify measures for the protection and restoration of the country's energy infrastructure damaged as a result of the war. He highlighted the importance of developing distributed generation to ensure the resilience of the energy system.
