Ukraine Implements Electronic Queue at the Border
Ukraine plans to introduce new rules for crossing the border for passenger cars using the electronic system 'eQueue'. The Ministry of Communities and Territories Development of Ukraine has announced a pilot project aimed at simplifying the waiting process at the border.
How the 'eQueue' System Will Work
The 'eQueue' system will allow drivers to reserve a place in the queue in three ways:
- through the web portal or 'eQueue' app;
- through the 'Diia' mobile app or portal;
- automatic reservation of a place in the queue upon the vehicle's entry into the waiting area.
The 'eQueue' project will be launched after the approval of the order in the Ministry of Justice, which will officially introduce the new system at the border. It is expected that these innovations will help reduce queues and improve the border crossing process for Ukrainian drivers.
The implementation of the electronic system 'eQueue' may significantly change the experience of drivers crossing the border, reducing waiting times and enhancing the convenience of the process. This innovation may also assist in improving the management of transportation flows at the national level, which is an important aspect in the context of Ukraine's transport infrastructure. We can only wait for the official launch of the system and assess its effectiveness in practice.
