Ukraine's Export Milestones for Eggs and Poultry Meat
In May 2026, Ukraine achieved remarkable export figures for eggs and poultry meat, according to the Union of Poultry Farmers of Ukraine. Egg exports hit 229.18 million units, the highest monthly total in seven years. This represents an 11.4% increase from April of the same year and a 20.1% rise compared to May 2025. Revenue from egg exports in May reached $23.9 million, up 39.2% year-on-year.
Over the first five months of 2026, Ukraine shipped 1,014.4 million eggs, generating $112.5 million in revenue. Physical export volumes grew by 22% during this period, while revenue surged by 64%. The top buyers of Ukrainian eggs from January to May 2026 were:
- Spain (28.1%)
- United Kingdom (14.0%)
- Poland (9.4%)
- Israel (7.3%)
Poultry Meat Exports
In terms of poultry meat, Ukraine exported 43,635 metric tons in May 2026, setting a five-year record. This volume was 7% higher than in April. Revenue from poultry meat exports totaled $93.6 million, up 10.7% month-over-month. The average selling price for poultry meat in May stood at $2.15 per kilogram.
For the January–May 2026 period, total poultry meat exports reached 207,100 metric tons, a 6.1% increase from the same period last year. Revenue from these exports amounted to $437.1 million, though this represents a 4.3% decline. The main destinations for Ukrainian poultry meat during the first five months of 2026 were:
- Netherlands (17.9%)
- United Kingdom (11.8%)
- Slovakia (10.2%)
- UAE (6.9%)
