According to new data, FIFA has presented the updated ranking of national teams. Ukraine is currently in 28th place with 1543.06 points. Among UEFA participants, the Ukrainian national team is in 14th position.
As a result of two qualifying matches for the 2026 World Cup against France (0:2) and Azerbaijan (1:1), the Ukrainian team has dropped two places and is now in 28th place. Opponents in group D in these qualifiers have the following positions: France – 2 (+1), Iceland – 74 (0), Azerbaijan – 124 (-2).
According to the FIFA ranking, the top ten teams are: Spain, France, Argentina, England, Portugal, Brazil, Netherlands, Belgium, Croatia, Italy, and others, followed by Ukraine in 28th place.
In the next qualifying match for the 2026 World Cup, the Ukrainian national team will play against Iceland on October 10. It should be noted that in the previous match against Azerbaijan, the Ukrainian team managed to secure a draw with a score of 1:1.
