Recently, a meeting of the Committee on Social Affairs, Health and Sustainable Development of PACE took place, where Ukraine called for the strengthening of international mechanisms for protecting food security in wartime. Deputy Minister of Economy, Environment and Agriculture Taras Vysotsky emphasized the importance of ensuring sustainable food security in crisis conditions and highlighted Ukraine's significant contribution to the global food market.

It was noted that before the war, Ukraine provided food for up to 400 million people worldwide and continues to play an important role, exporting significant volumes of products even in the challenging conditions of war. Additionally, the importance of humanitarian programs such as Grain from Ukraine was emphasized, which help ensure food security and improve nutrition for millions of people in the world's poorest regions.
