President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky announced projects proposed by Ukraine in the energy sector for American partners. According to his statement, he emphasized the need to ban the transit of Russian energy resources through Europe, to which the USA expressed readiness to provide the necessary gas and oil to replace Russian supplies.

Zelensky also emphasized that Ukraine is ready to contribute to Europe’s energy independence, likely due to developed infrastructure and potential. Proposals for projects in the gas sector and nuclear generation are already at the agreement stage.
Tension between Europe and the USA over Russian resources
Recently, the EU committed to stop purchasing Russian gas and oil by the end of 2026. However, conflicts arose between European leaders and the US president, when the latter accused Europeans of facilitating the Russian economy through the purchase of Russian oil. Senator Lindsey Graham also supported this position and urged Europe to completely abandon Russian energy resources.
Ukraine is actively cooperating with the USA to strengthen energy security in the region and is trying to create alternative sources of energy supply for Europe.
