Ukraine is no longer playing games: as of August 8, a new law has come into effect that allows killing two birds with one stone – running a business and protecting the environment. This is all thanks to the integrated permitting process, which will simplify life for enterprises and improve pollution control. Now everything can be done online through the Unified State Register of Integrated Environmental Permits.
New installations will immediately operate under the new rules, while old ones will have time to upgrade. This means that old permits will remain valid for four years until they transition to the new system. But even during this period, providers will have the right to continue operating under the old rules.
- Digitalization of permitting procedures.
- Gradual transition to the new system.
- Dialogue with business.
Currently, any new equipment or provider must comply with the new legislation on permits and pollution control, but within understandable frameworks and with the possibility to seek help or consultation. Looking at all this calmly, it can be said that Ukraine is keeping pace with European standards and cares about the future of its citizens, while not forgetting about economic development.
