Implementation of 5G Technology in Ukraine
Ukraine has started the implementation of 5G technology, particularly in Lviv, which has become the first city in the country to adopt this cutting-edge technology. More than 20 5G base stations have already been built in Lviv, providing data transmission speeds of approximately 500 Mbps per subscriber. This opens up new opportunities for users, improving the quality of communication and Internet speed.
The launch of 5G technology in Borodyanka is scheduled for January 2024, while in Kharkiv it is set for February 2024. The introduction of 5G in Ukraine was previously planned for 2022, but its implementation was delayed due to the full-scale war. This step is crucial for the development of the country's digital infrastructure.
“Lviv is becoming a technology laboratory that will help us refine all technical aspects before the national launch.”
Mykhailo Fedorov, Deputy Prime Minister of Ukraine
The implementation of 5G technology in Ukraine is an important step in the development of the country's digital infrastructure, which can significantly impact economic and social development. The increase in Internet speed and improvement in communication quality open up new possibilities for business, education, and other areas of life. An important part of this process is also the adaptation of tariff plans, which will allow users to receive quality services at an affordable price.
