Deputy Minister Tetiana Kyriienko Inspects the Food Train in Dnipropetrovsk Region
During an official visit to the Dnipropetrovsk region, Tetiana Kyriienko, Deputy Minister of Social Policy, Family, and Unity of Ukraine, reviewed operations aboard the Food Train. This initiative is a joint effort between Ukrainian Railways (JSC Ukrzaliznytsia) and the Howard G. Buffett Foundation, designed to provide hot meals for internally displaced persons (IDPs).
How the Food Train Project Works
Equipped as a mobile kitchen, the Food Train can prepare up to 10,000 hot meals each day. The food is specifically intended for people staying in temporary shelters and evacuation centers.
Tetiana Kyriienko stated: 'This is a unique setup that enables us to assist Ukrainians facing severe hardships.'
The initiative focuses on delivering both hot meals and broader humanitarian support to IDPs, addressing a critical need in the current crisis.
