Ukrainian athletes continue to impress with their performances at the Summer Universiade. According to the Ministry of Youth and Sports of Ukraine, this time our country has won its second gold medal. Taekwondo athlete Maxim Manenkov won in the weight category up to 58 kg, while his colleague Kirill Gurnov became a bronze medalist in the weight up to 80 kg.

Currently, the Ukrainian team has already won seven medals. Manenkov explained his success by the significant achievements of Oleksandr Usyk and expressed hope for further victories. Kirill Gurnov added that even a bronze medal at such a level is a great achievement, as every athlete dreams of gold.

Anna Maksymenko: 'We could have contended for the prize places, but it turned out that we could not defeat the Korean team.'

Daniil Avanesov and Mark Barsukov placed fifth in the final of synchronized diving from the platform. Ilya Linnyk did not make it to the final in the 100 meters freestyle but expressed hope for a better result in the 50 meters.
