The Ukrainian national team in shooting started its performance at the World Championship in Cairo, Egypt. On the very first day of the competitions, the Ukrainian team won a bronze medal in the men's team event in free pistol shooting at 50 meters.
The Ukrainian team, consisting of Viktor Bankin, Pavlo Korostyliov, and Oleg Omelchuk, demonstrated a high level of skill and competition for medals during the events.
In the individual ranking, Pavlo Korostyliov placed fifth, showing impressive results. The competitions in the discipline of shooting at 50 meters will continue until November 17.
Ukraine's Performance at the European Youth Olympic Festival
Ukraine took 10th place in the overall medal standings of the European Youth Olympic Festival. Our athletes won 5 gold, 8 silver, and 10 bronze medals, making this performance the second most successful in the history of Ukraine's participation in the festivals.
Among the sports in which Ukrainians won awards were judo, swimming, athletics, taekwondo, shooting, artistic gymnastics, and table tennis.
