When and under what conditions military documents can be checked
Lawyer Sergey Litvinenko explained who is allowed to check military registration documents in Ukraine. According to current legislation, this can be done by representatives of territorial centers for recruiting and social support, police officers, and border guards when crossing the border.
- If a person has no military registration documents or their electronic version in the 'Reserve+' app, they may be considered a violator, as military registration implies the presence of this document.
'Checkpoints established in accordance with the rules and marked with special signs are places with a special legal regime. Here, law enforcement officers can check documents and stop vehicles,' the lawyer explained.
What documents a citizen must have with them
A citizen must have a military ID, a call-up certificate, or a temporary certificate confirming registration with the TCG. Young men aged 18 to 25 must have a call-up certificate, and after reaching 25, a military ID will be issued.
- A temporary certificate is an alternative to a military ID with a photo and military information.
The new rules for registration and mobilization of Ukrainians are now updated and important for every citizen of the country.
