Ukrainians were shown the price gap for vegetables between markets and supermarkets: where is it cheaper

According to the Ministry of Finance portal, Ukrainians were shown the differences in prices for young vegetables in supermarkets and markets. Many people carefully compare prices for products, particularly vegetables, which are an important part of the diet. Prices can vary significantly depending on the place of purchase, season, and product quality.




In supermarkets:

  • Young potatoes cost from 22.78 to 35.50 UAH/kg;

  • Pink potatoes - 43.70 UAH/kg;

  • Cabbage - from 17.58 to 46.60 UAH/kg;

  • Onions - from 16.00 to 51.90 UAH/kg.





At markets:

  • Young potatoes - from 15.00 to 19.00 UAH/kg;

  • Onions - from 11.00 to 13.00 UAH/kg;

  • Cabbage - from 17.00 to 20.00 UAH/kg.




The cheapest option for Ukrainian families remains young potatoes, while the greatest variety of prices is observed for onions in supermarkets. It should be noted that cucumber prices change every day.
