How Much They Pay for Strawberry Picking in Germany
Agatha went to Germany for a seasonal strawberry picking. According to her, she worked every day for all 33 days. A regular shift lasted 9-10 hours, and on some days, she had to work up to 11 hours.
«I was on the harvest for 33 days and worked all 33 days», - the girl shared. In total, she spent just over a month on the plantation with 310 working hours.
The hourly rate was 13.90 euros. Thus, before expenses, Agatha earned approximately 4309 euros.
However, the actual amount that a seasonal worker can take home turned out to be less. Just accommodation cost 10 euros per day, so for 33 days, it came to 330 euros.
How Much Was Left After Housing and Travel Expenses
Another 200 euros Agatha received in advance and spent on food and personal needs. After these expenses, she had 3729 euros left from her earnings.

In the end, after basic expenses, Agatha had about 3633 euros left, or 15,336 zlotys. According to the conversion mentioned in the source, this is approximately 180 thousand UAH.

Is Seasonal Work in Germany Beneficial?
The story sparked debates on social media. Some users consider such earnings a good result for a person willing to work intensively for a short period and wants to quickly save money.
Others pointed out the cost of such income: 310 hours of hard physical work over 33 days and a complete lack of days off. Therefore, the actual benefit of seasonal work is determined not only by the rate but also by housing, travel expenses, and the number of hours worked.
