Since the beginning of 2025, nearly 24 thousand people have taken advantage of vouchers for free education at the Employment Service. The program allows for free retraining or upgrading qualifications in the chosen field. This was reported by the Government Portal.
Who most often takes vouchers for changing professions at the employment service
The highest demand for educational vouchers comes from Ukrainians aged 45 and older - they make up almost 70% of all program participants. Among other categories:
22% - internally displaced persons,
6% - people with disabilities,
3% - combatants.
In which regions the most vouchers for changing professions were issued
The most vouchers were issued in the Dnipropetrovsk, Kharkiv, and Zaporizhzhia regions.
Which specialties can be studied thanks to the voucher from the employment service
The most popular training areas this year are nursing, psychology, culinary arts, social work, and driving vehicles.
The list of available professions and specialties is constantly updated: as of today, there are 156 options approved by the Ministry of Education and Science. Training can be conducted both in higher education institutions and vocational schools. In particular, the Employment Service has eight modern Centers for Vocational Education, which focus on practical skills and new methodologies.
The state compensates education within the voucher up to 30 thousand hryvnias. The program is funded by the Fund for compulsory state social insurance in case of unemployment.
