Step-by-Step Guide to Claiming Compensation for Hosting Displaced Individuals
Ukrainian citizens who have offered free shelter to internally displaced persons (IDPs) can now apply for reimbursement through the Pension Fund of Ukraine’s online portal. The entire application process involves 11 steps and requires the electronic signature of the IDPs’ authorized representative. This detailed instruction was released by the Main Department of the Pension Fund in the Kherson region.
How to Complete the Compensation Application
Applicants must first log into the Pension Fund’s electronic services portal using a qualified electronic signature (QES). Within the 'Communications with the Pension Fund' section, they should select the option titled 'Application from individuals hosting internally displaced persons for expense compensation.' Next, users fill out an online form providing information about the displaced persons and their authorized representative, attaching scanned copies of all necessary documents.
Following this, the authorized representative of the displaced persons digitally signs the documents using their QES in their personal account, changing the document status to 'Signed.' The host then finalizes the process by also signing the paperwork with their own QES. The Pension Fund has previously announced the payment amounts allocated per hosted displaced person and provided guidance on how to proceed if the displaced individuals leave the accommodation.
