In June, an experimental project was launched in Ukraine to create air defense groups as part of volunteer formations of territorial communities. This information was made public by the Ministry of Defense, reports 'Glavkom'.
To join air defense groups, one must first become a member of the volunteer formation of the territorial community and sign a contract for 3 years. Documents must be submitted to the volunteer formation at the place of residence. In the absence of such a structure, one can contact the local military administration with a proposal to establish it along with military units of the Territorial Defense Forces of Ukraine.
Procedure for signing a contract for a volunteer in the DFTG
- Submitting an application to the commander of the volunteer formation.
- Medical, professional, and psychological checks.
- Signing the contract.
- Taking the 'Oath of the Territorial Defense Volunteer'.
- Receiving the membership ID of the established form of the volunteer formation.
Who can join
Ukrainian citizens aged 18 and over, who are not subject to mobilization, such as deferred individuals, military workers, or those not subject to conscription due to age or health reasons, are encouraged to participate in air defense groups.
Financial support
- Additional rewards of 100,000 UAH per month;
- these payments are made proportionally to the time spent participating in air defense activities, rather than as a fixed monthly sum.
Furthermore, participants of the volunteer formations of the territorial community receive guarantees of social protection in accordance with Ukrainian legislation regarding job retention and position.
We remind you that the first training center for preparing specialists in fuel and lubricant quality control for the Armed Forces has started operating in Ukraine.
It is also worth noting that a separate aviation vertical aimed at developing aviation is being created in the Ministry of Defense and the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Volunteer air defense groups will be created in Ukraine for citizens to participate in the defense of the country. This is a new alternative for those who wish to join the country's defense but are not conscripts or military personnel. Participants will receive not only financial support but also opportunities for social protection and professional growth.
