UNHCR offers cash assistance for internally displaced persons in Ukraine who need housing. The program operates in several regions of the country, and those in difficult life circumstances can participate. The criteria for participation are simple: you must be at risk of eviction, renting housing in poor conditions, or facing the threat of eviction, have the ability to pay rent independently, and meet other program requirements.
An important condition is that the assistance can only be used for rent, and program participants must first find and pay for the first two months of rent themselves, after which they will receive reimbursement. To participate in the program, you need to fill out an application on the website of the project's official partner, the 'Right to Protection' charity fund.
This initiative will be a great help for those who have exhausted their ability to pay for housing rent and are in a difficult life situation.
