Ukrainian compatriots who are currently in Italy actively support the performances of Russian artists, even those who do not condemn the aggressive policies of Russia. For instance, the concert of Russian singer Valery Meladze in Rome gathered a large number of Ukrainians who purchased tickets for the event. According to a representative of the network of Ukrainian associations in Italy, Ukrainians silently support the 'good Russians' with their money, however, they have already successfully canceled the concert of Putin's friend and conductor Valery Gergiev at a festival near Naples. Tickets for the concert cost approximately 3,300 UAH. Currently, Ukrainian activists are actively opposing the performance of another representative of the Putin regime, opera singer Anna Netrebko, scheduled for August 13.

This story also illustrates the active civil society that not only stands for its beliefs but also successfully influences cultural events and shapes the image of Ukraine abroad. Ukrainians in Italy demonstrate their activity and readiness to oppose propaganda events aimed at legitimizing the Russian regime through cultural events.
