Ukrainian judokas won three awards at the European Championship for juniors

In Podgorica (Montenegro), the European Judo Championship for athletes under 21 is taking place from September 3 to 6. More than 400 athletes from 44 European countries are participating in the competition. The Ukrainian team is represented by a squad of 18 judokas who performed successfully in individual competitions.

Awards for Ukrainian judokas

Ukrainian judokas won three awards:

  • Danilo Kravchenko became the champion in the weight category up to 73 kg.
  • Danilo Avramenko took third place in the category up to 60 kg.
  • Serhii Sokyrko received a bronze award in the weight category up to 90 kg.

In all medal matches, Ukrainians defeated representatives of aggressor countries. The final day of the championship is scheduled for a mixed team tournament.

This success of Ukrainian judokas on the European stage underscores their high level of training and endurance, considering the difficult conditions in which they train. The medals won not only add positivity to Ukrainian sports but also demonstrate that Ukrainian athletes are capable of achieving high results even in the face of external challenges.

The mixed team tournament, which will take place on the final day of the championship, will provide an opportunity to continue the fight for awards and enhance team spirit on the international stage.
