Rising Interest in Temporary Employment Opportunities in Poland
Data from Gremi Personal reveals a growing trend among Ukrainians seeking short-term work contracts in Poland. In 2025, temporary employment agencies placed 697,301 individuals, including 361,309 foreigners. The number of temporary job contracts increased from 1.31 million in 2024 to 1.38 million in 2025, highlighting the expanding appeal of flexible, temporary positions for Ukrainian workers.
Demand for Temporary Labor on the Rise
Most temporary roles are concentrated in warehouses and manufacturing facilities. In the second quarter of 2026, the temporary employment sector’s turnover rose by 4% year-on-year, reaching 1.159 billion zlotys. Salaries for these positions typically range between 4,600 and 7,700 zlotys, depending on the job role and hours worked.
“An increasing number of people want to come to Poland just for a few months to get through winter, earn money, and then return home,” Gremi Personal representatives explain.
The surge in temporary job seekers from Ukraine is likely influenced by economic challenges at home and the need to secure additional income to support families. Short-term contracts offer the flexibility required by those balancing work abroad with the option to return home. This trend also impacts Ukraine’s labor market, as a sizable portion of its workforce takes on temporary jobs abroad.
