National Cashback Program: Key Reminder

The Ministry of Economy has issued a reminder that all funds accumulated under the National Cashback program must be spent no later than June 30, 2026. Any unused balance at the end of that day will be returned to the state budget. The program itself will continue unchanged, and cashback payments for purchases of Ukrainian-made goods will still be credited after the 20th of the following month, as usual.

Participants in the program receive compensation at rates of 5% or 15% for buying domestically produced items:

  • 5% cashback applies to purchases of:
    • food products
    • automotive goods
    • pharmacy items
    • garden and yard supplies
  • 15% cashback applies to non-food items, including:
    • clothing
    • footwear
    • electronics
    • toys
    • hobby, leisure, and home repair products
    • certain food items such as hard and soft cheeses, pasta, and oat or buckwheat groats

Accumulated cashback can be used to pay for:

  • utility bills
  • postal services
  • purchasing Ukrainian-made food products
  • medical devices or medicines
  • books and other printed materials
  • charitable donations, including support for the Armed Forces of Ukraine

World Bank Approves $3.39 Billion in New Funding

Separately, the World Bank's Board of Directors has approved a new $3.39 billion financing program for Ukraine. These funds are intended to support economic reforms, develop the private sector, create jobs, and advance European integration changes. This context highlights the broader international effort to bolster Ukraine's economy alongside domestic initiatives like the cashback program.

The Ministry of Economy stated: 'Funds not used by the end of June 30 will be returned to the state budget. The National Cashback program will continue to operate without changes; cashback for purchases of Ukrainian goods will be accrued as usual and paid out in the format users are accustomed to.'

This initiative plays a vital role in encouraging citizens to buy locally made products, thereby supporting domestic production and consumption. It not only stimulates economic growth but also enables social contributions, for instance by allowing cashback to be channeled into charitable causes. The new World Bank financing is expected to further strengthen economic resilience and help drive forward key reforms in Ukraine.

As the deadline approaches, it's crucial for participants to be aware of the implications of the cashback program. For further insights on how to effectively utilize these bonuses before the June 30 cutoff, check out our detailed article on the necessity of spending cashback bonuses.
