Популярні моделі вживаних автомобілів в Україні: імпорт досягнув 15,000 одиниць.

Ukraine's Used Car Market in February

In February, Ukrainians purchased nearly 15,000 used passenger cars imported from abroad, adding a total of 14,800 second-hand vehicles to the national fleet. The average age of these imported cars was 10 years. According to official data, 61% of all used cars bought by Ukrainians from foreign markets run on gasoline.

Market Breakdown by Fuel Type

The structure of the used passenger car market, categorized by fuel type, is as follows:

  • Gasoline-powered cars - 61%
  • Diesel vehicles - 22%
  • Hybrids - 8%
  • Electric vehicles - 6%
  • Cars with gas cylinder equipment - 3%

This indicates a growing Ukrainian interest in various fuel types, though gasoline models remain the most popular by a significant margin. The market for imported used cars is a key component of Ukraine's automotive sector, especially given current economic pressures.

The sales leader among used imports was the VOLKSWAGEN Golf, with 700 units sold. Other popular models included the AUDI Q5 (642 units), VOLKSWAGEN Tiguan (590 units), and SKODA Octavia (519 units). The list of top sellers also featured the NISSAN Rogue (508 units), RENAULT Megane, VOLKSWAGEN Passat, FORD Escape, AUDI A4, and NISSAN Qashqai. This data reveals both the preferences of Ukrainian consumers for foreign-used vehicles and the diversity of their choices in the marketplace.

These figures demonstrate the continuation of a multi-year trend of growth in Ukraine's used car market. Due to economic conditions and shifting consumer preferences, Ukrainians are favoring second-hand vehicles that meet their needs for affordability and availability. Simultaneously, the rising interest in alternative fuel types may signal a gradual shift toward more environmentally friendly transport. This evolution could have significant implications for the future of Ukraine's automotive industry.
