This growth was driven by a 33% rise among non-commercial subscribers, totaling 30.8 million successful identifications, and a 36% increase among commercial subscribers, reaching 2.2 million. During the reporting period, three new subscribers joined the system, including LLC GLOVOAPP UKRAINE (Glovo), which offers age verification services. Two new financial companies also became subscribers, providing online loan issuance services.
Statistics and Trends
By the end of Q1 2026, the number of identifier banks stood at 38, while the number of service provider subscribers reached 113. The BankID system continues to show steady growth and remains popular among Ukrainian users.
The rising usage of the BankID system reflects growing public trust in electronic services and the gradual adoption of digital technologies in the financial and communications sectors. The addition of new subscribers like Glovo and financial firms indicates an expanding range of services, which is likely to improve convenience and accessibility for users.
As the adoption of the BankID system continues to rise, it mirrors a broader trend in Ukraine's financial sector, where lending activities are also experiencing significant growth. For instance, recent data shows that corporate and retail loans have surged dramatically, indicating a robust recovery and increasing consumer confidence in digital financial services.
