A 38-year-old citizen of Ukraine violated so many traffic rules during one trip in Poland that he accumulated fines totaling over 12 thousand zlotys. He was stopped following a pursuit, and the inspection also revealed more than 2 per mille of alcohol in his blood. This was reported by In Poland.
What Violations Were Recorded
The incident occurred in Słabomierz, where an off-duty police officer from Żyrardów noticed a Skoda driving with violations. The driver acted aggressively, did not respond to signals, and even overtook her at a pedestrian crossing before attempting to flee. After the pursuit, he was apprehended at a gas station in Żyrardów. The police recorded the following violations:
- obstructing traffic, failing to yield to pedestrians, not wearing a seatbelt, ignoring traffic signs and signals, driving under the influence of alcohol
His blood showed more than two per mille of alcohol. The man was immediately taken to the police station.
What Punishment Did the Driver Receive
Polish law enforcement reported that the Ukrainian was fined a total of 12,100 zlotys and his driving license was revoked. The consequences do not end here; the case has been referred to court.
What Responsibility May Follow
According to Polish law, for driving under the influence of alcohol, the man faces up to three years in prison, a long-term ban on driving vehicles, and an additional high fine. The police emphasize that such cases pose the greatest danger to road participants.
