In the village of Kotlovina in the Odesa region, farmer Mykhailo Tsonkiv turned a former wasteland into a pomegranate garden, naming it after his granddaughter. Over several years, he grew more than 50 pomegranate bushes that require no chemical treatments and produce fruits weighing up to 900 grams. He gives away the entire harvest for free. This was reported by 'Hromadske', referring to 'Suspline'.

Mykhailo set up the garden on a neglected area where equipment used to stand. 'I took it, cleaned the area, and planted the garden. I always love to keep everything in order. So I took it and put this area in order,' the farmer said.

'That year my granddaughter Masha was born. And spontaneously I named it "Masha's Garden". And so it goes everywhere for me as "Masha's Garden",' Mykhailo noted.

Mykhailo Tsonkiv explained that the unique aspect of his pomegranates is the complete absence of chemical treatments. The plants do not require either fungicides or pesticides. Three different varieties of pomegranates grow in the garden, which he distributes to friends and acquaintances.

The pomegranates in Mykhailo Tsonkiv's garden bloom in stages from May to September. On one bush, you can see fruits of different sizes that bloomed at various times. The man emphasized that the pomegranate is a subtropical crop that requires plenty of sunlight and wind for growth. He gives away all the harvest, selling not a single pomegranate.

Mykhailo Tsonkiv made an incredible transformation of the former wasteland, turning it into a pomegranate garden, which has become his special hobby and provides people with delicious and ecologically clean produce. This is a wonderful example of how hard work and love for nature can be realized in a truly beneficial venture for people and the surrounding environment.
